Hafod Wen is situated between Barmouth and Porthmadog on the A496. The house is one mile South of Harlech on the sea side of the road near the village of Llanfair. Look for the large sign with the picture of the house. There is plenty of off-road parking and easy access from the road. There is plenty to see nearby. As well as the castle, Harlech has some good restaurants and a theatre. The local swimming pool with sauna and solarium is at a special price for Hafod Wen Guests. The famous Royal St David's Golf course is near at hand. There is a private path to Harlech beach where the bathing is safe on the 5km long sandy beach.
